I usually hesitate buying patent leather boots because they are notoriously stiff and take forever to break in. These are the complete opposite. I was prepared for a week of blisters, but I wore them for a full 8-hour day immediately after they arrived, and... nothing. Zero pain. The leather is surprisingly flexible, and the platform sole actually adds a lot of cushion. Sizing is also spot on. I ordered my usual size 8, and they fit exactly like my sneakers.
