I wanted a brown boot that looked more modern than the pairs already in my closet, and these definitely fit that role. The shape is bold, but the simple upper keeps them easy to style. The opening felt firm the first few times I put them on, though it has started to loosen up.

These add quite a bit of height without feeling like I’m walking in heels. The sole feels supportive, and the smooth leather gives them a polished look that works for dinners or smart-casual events. I probably wouldn’t choose them for an entire day of walking because the platform has some weight to it.

The pull tabs make these much easier to get on than I expected, and the elastic panels hold my foot securely. I wore them with slim dark denim for a night out, and the brown color stood out without looking flashy. The leather does crease a little across the toe, which is pretty normal after wearing them.

I like that these have the clean shape of a Chelsea boot but don’t look too traditional. The thick sole adds some edge and has decent grip on city sidewalks. They’re bulkier than a regular Chelsea boot, so it took me a day or two to get used to the proportions.

The brown leather looks richer in person and works well with both black jeans and tan trousers. The platform gives me a noticeable lift, but it still feels stable when I’m walking. They were a little snug around the ankle at first, so I needed a few wears to break them in.
